Have you ever crocheted something just because you wanted to brighten someone's day? If you sell or gift your crochet projects, you will probably say yes to this question. But what about doing something kind for your community?

I've created these Free Random Acts of Kindness Crochet Tags that you can attach to your handmade creations before leaving them around your favourite local spots to bring some happiness to someone's day.
What Are Random Acts of Kindness?
I added my baby buddies to my RAOK bags. They are the perfect small size, work up so fast, can be a great stash buster, don't require safety eyes making them toddler friendly, and steal the show with how cute they are!
With 6 animal patterns to choose from - a frog, a bear, a bee, a bunny, a mouse, and a chick - I offer these crochet patterns individually or as a bundle. You can find them all here!

What Are Random Acts of Kindness?
Did you know that Random Acts of Kindness originated in the 1980s. Writer and activist Anne Herbert wrote an article “Practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty” and the movement began.
There is even a day dedicated to Random Acts of Kindness which started in 1995. February 17th is now known as Random Acts of Kindness Day!
Random Acts of Kindness for Crocheters
There are tons of small ways to practice random acts of kindness. If you're a crocheter, here is one way you can offer some kindness to the world.
I have created a free template of Random Acts of Kindness tags. They are small printable cards that can be attached to crochet items and left for someone to discover. I have left mine around local malls, but you could leave your crochet items:
- In a library
- On a park bench
- In a community center
- For a teacher, neighbor, or friend
- Around a local mall
The tag lets the recipient know that the item was intentionally left as a gift and encourages them to enjoy it.

Why Handmade Kindness Matters
In today's busy world, unexpected kindness can make a lasting impact.
A simple crochet gift can:

Every crochet item tells a story, and every act of kindness creates a ripple effect.
Crochet has always been about more than yarn and hooks. It's about connection, comfort, and creating something meaningful with our hands.
